HiRollers - Dice Solitaire for iPhone

HiRolers at App Store

One of the first things I try out when moving to a new platform is HiRollers. I remember this game from when it was the bonus game on the game show High Rollers when I was a kid. I always liked to play the game and I think it is a good change of pace solitaire game. My iPhone version is out at the iPhone App Store. For $0.99 I think it’s an enjoyable pastime.

Great Game and JetBlue

It was a seriously rough day of travel today with a massive snow storm in seattle. It was a lift to the ferry by our neighbor from Boston (no one else was on the road), to arrive at the ferry to find no cabs. We got extorted for a towncar (that had chains!) for the 45 minute drive to the airport, and yes the flight was delayed 3.5 hours. We did manage to take off after finding out that most other night flights were cancelled as SeaTac ran out of de-icer!

Once in the air things got better as this was our first experience on JetBlue. Wow - you don’t have to bring much to entertain yourself. Forty DirectTV channels and the full slate of XM Radio took care of both kids. Channel 1 was ESPN 2 and I saw one of the most exciting sporting events in quite a while. It was the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Semifinal between undefeated Penn State and home team Nebraska. Holy cow. Penn State had won 111 straight sets, not losing one all year. They won the first two and then proceeded to lose not one but two sets! It went to the final and by the time it was finishing I was fist-pumping in my seat rooting for Penn State not to blow it (I’m from PA).

Fantastic game and a good flight once we got going.
