...but it's hard to deny the Gunslinger

The blog book is going to briefly interrupt Wolves of the Calla, the fifth Dark Tower book many have been waiting on for so long. I'm really enjoying it so far. There's been a moment that gave me chills as the gunslingers demonstrate their skills and several horrifying scenes. This may be the first Dark Tower book that can be considered a "horror novel." King has thankfully completed the series as the remaining two novels will be published next year. I was seriously worried that it would not be finished, especially when he suffered a brutal car accident.

I was a big fan of King's early work with "The Stand" being my favorite stand-alone novel and "Salem's Lot" a close second. Now those two works are playing a part in the Dark Tower series in very interesting ways. I'll have a full review when I finish.
