Magic mess-ups
For the third time in the last week I had a Magic game won and blew it. It's not like I had to guess about what might be in my opponent's hands or anything like that. All the information I needed to win was on the table or in my hand. In today's latest episode I was in a two-player game in a weird creature stalemate. We both had life gain effects but he only had one creature, a life gain angel. Unfortunately I did not read the card and I thought is was the angel with protection from black - and I had a Terror in hand. I could have killed it at any time and been attacking unblocked with five creatures which would have overwhelmed his other lifegain effect. I'm not quite sure what to do. It is a very casual play group, but my play skills have deteriorated so much from when I was playing in tournaments that I'm pretty disturbed.
