Let's Dance

OK, have we discussed Dance Dance Revolution yet? Now, I think it's fair to say that if you saw me you would not say that I play regularly. I have several different home versions and a very good dance pad to go with them but I'm quite out of practice as I've been lazy lately. Once I find a way to get my dance pad to work with my X-Box I'll be getting the new version that supports online dancing.

Anyway, my family came over to Seattle for the day and we ended up at Gameworks where they have a couple of arcade DDR machines. It's quite a setup they have there. There is a bar on the second floor the extends to a circular balcony with tables that look down onto the main floor. And right in the middle are the DDR machines. There were four of five couples having drinks and looking down as I stepped up the one of the machines. For the first time in a while I felt my nerve. I haven't played at home in over a month. I guess I did OK but I did fail the final song - quite embarrassing. I'm going to get back with the program and get playing at home and then head back there to really show them what I can do.

Update: I just found out how to use my PS2 dance pad on the X-Box. The company that makes the pads now has an adapter for sale. Mine is on the way.
