Magic Deck: Decree of God
OK, I admit it. This is a net deck. I usually don't take whole decks, but I certainly read the Magic sites for ideas. A lot of times straight net decks really would not be much fun in four player chaos Magic anyway. This deck struck a chorde because I'd been looking for a deck to use my four Mindslavers in since Mirrodin was released. You really want to have the mana to play it and use it on the same turn since it is a big target when it hits the table. Frankly, I wasn't sure how good it would be in multiplayer...uhh, it's good, very good. In the mid-game you can make a player attack another opponnent and then the player is open for your attack. In the end-game it's a game winner. When it's in your hand you know that they have one less turn than they think they do.
Decree of God
3x Decree of Justice // Gamebreaker. If you've got the mana, it's a powerhouse in either mode. I definitely prefer to make Angels.
3x Wrath of God // These next three keep the board clear for the onslaught of angels.
4x Nevinyrral's Disk
2x Oblivion Stone
4x Mindslaver // Truly fun - for me anyway. My pals don't agree, but they love to advise me while I'm using someone else's turn.
4x Renewed Faith // A cycler.
4x Wing Shards // I haven't used these much in this deck since the board is cleared a lot. I may look at replacing them.
4x Weathered Wayfarer // A multiplayer powerhouse since it can fetch any land, not just basics. Asembles the Urzatron in short order.
1x Abbey Gargoyles // These next four are 4 Eternal Dragons in the net deck. I only have two and they are in another deck so I dug out some little used, expensive white fatties for these spots.
1x Melesse Spirit
1x Exalted Dragon
1x Archangel
4x Urza's Mine // It's fun playing with the Urzatron again. Most of my copies are from Antiquaties.
4x Urza's Tower
4x Urza's Power Plant
14x Plains
You use the Weathered Wayfarer to fetch the Urza lands and then have a ton a mana. Of course, if you have a ton of white mana, these's nothing more fun to do than Decreeing a bunch of Angels. So far I'm 3-0 with this deck :-)
