After a break...
That was a long break. The pressure to blog started to get to me when I had a bunch of things to deal with for my baseball league projects. I had a complete web server crash to recover from and I started to wonder about CasdraBlog. Thanks to Layne for pushing me forward!
Here are some links from my break:
Let's start with the blog run by my friend Jaxon, Milk and Cookies (now in the sidebar). At one point last week his site showed up as the second link on the first page of the Google search for Janet Jackson Breast, which will almost certainly be one of the biggest searches of the year. You can't buy that kind of advertising.
Cory Doctorow, one of the authors of Boing Boing has a new novel out, Eastern Standard Tribe which he has released for free download. I greatly enjoyed his first novel, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, which is also free to download (Layne, this is my next recommendation for Tiffany).
I admit that I don't keep up with music so you may already by hip to the White Stripes. Well, their performance on the Grammy's last night completely blew me away! I picked up Elephant today and it is great. Straight up rock and roll.
I've been enjoying the special features on the Star Trek VI DVD. This has been one of my favorites of the Star Trek films and the behind the scenes information has been entertaining.
I have been keeping my Mariners blog, Sodo Oh No. There are about 25 Mariners blogs now so it's pretty competitive but I started a draft baseball league among the bloggers and that has been fun.
For you Mac folks out there Garage Band is very slick. I have my guitar plugged into my Mac and I've been playing around. I learned to play the intro from Seven Nation Army. I'm thinking about getting a MIDI controller to try to make some music for the home movies that I'm so far behind on.
OK, I'm off for some DDR.
