Daily Show is Outstanding
The Daily Show won the award for Outstanding Achievement in News and Information at the 20th annual Television Critics Association awards show. It beat out Frontline and Nightline and the key quote from the presenter is:
At a time when the mainstream media seem cowed, Jon Stewart and company embody a core of truth.I could not have said it better. Jon Stewart is fond of saying that his show is "fake." Why is it then that he is the only one I trust to give it to me straight?
