An Annoying Political Pause
Why blog? I don’t want to gaze at my navel for to long here but some explanation is in order. The title of this post is a play on the title of a chapter from Stephen King’s non-fiction survey of the horror genre Danse Macabre, An Annoying Autobiographical Pause. In that chapter King felt it necessary to briefly discuss his childhood as it related to his future as a horror writer and fan. My purpose here is to discuss why I’ll be veering into politics a lot more than usual over the next few months. One of the reasons that I like blogging and stuck with it is that I’m forced to write out my thoughts and in so doing, hopefully, make them more clear – at least to me. And frankly I’m thinking about politics more now than I ever have in my life. So here is my explanation in case your wondering what’s going on on this page. I hope you bear with me and I’ll try to keep it fun as well.
