MacCribbage allows you to choose between Automtic or Manual Pegging.

With Automatic Pegging all scores you make are pegged automatically. This option make for a very quick game as all you have to worry about is the strategy of cribbing an playing while the Mac takes care of all of the scoring.

With Manual Pegging you must peg all of your own scores. Whenever you have a score the point turns into a gripping hand. You click on your back peg an the pointer turns into a peg. You then click on the hole where you want the peg inserted.

You do not have to peg your whole score in one movement. This is helpful in pegging complicated hands during the show phase. With Manual Pegging you can use the Muggins option. With Muggins if you do not peg your entire score during the show phase the Mac will steal the rest of your points. This should make you look over you hand a second (or third) time. Manual Pegging, along with the custom cribbage boards, makes for the most realistic game of cribbage available on the Macintosh.
